Big Time Hunters

We had two Colorado roofing companies bidding on the new roof for the library. I know that in most of these situations, the lower guy always wins. I wanted to change that this time and wanted to make sure that the most qualified roofing company would win the bid. I told them both to fill out why their Colorado roofing companies were qualified for the job along with their bid and then after I looked them over, I would let them know who had won.

Both of the Colorado roofing companies did a great job telling me why they deserved to do the job but I had to go with the one that also owned the local siding company because they put in their forms that if we were happy with their roofing job, that they would give us, the library, thirty percent off of the normal price to side the library. I could not let that opportunity pass us by so I called and let them know that because they gave us such a great offer with the siding company, they would get the roofing contract.

After the other roofing company heard how the winning company had won, he said that had he known that, he would have offered us a deal through their window company but he did not even think about it.
